Walk through 6 steps sequentially: Business objective → Operating model → Systems & architecture → Technology options → Economics & execution → Risks & controls. For each step, clarify the current state and target state.
- B - Business Objective. Clarify CEO/CIO objective, value pool, constraints, timeline, regulatory context, and success metric.
- O - Operating Model. Assess organization structure, governance, talent, agile/product model, vendors, decision rights, and change readiness.
- S - Systems & Architecture. Review applications, infrastructure, integrations, data flows, security, scalability, resilience, and technical debt.
- T - Technology Options. Compare build/buy/partner, cloud/on-prem/hybrid, platform choices, data/AI tools, and migration options.
- E - Economics & Execution. Estimate investment, benefits, cost-to-serve, risk, roadmap, dependencies, and implementation capacity.
